Amazon is cutting prices at Whole Foods

Following the news that Amazon.com’s acquisition of Whole Foods Market received FTC approval, Amazon announced that it is striving to make Whole Foods more affordable for the average consumer. While stressing the same high standards and values will be maintained, Whole Foods plans to cut the prices of its Whole Trade bananas, organic avocados, organic large brown eggs, organic responsibly-farmed salmon and tilapia, organic baby kale and baby lettuce, animal-welfare-rated 85% lean ground beef, creamy and crunchy almond butter, organic Gala and Fuji apples, organic rotisserie chicken, 365 Everyday Value organic butter and more of its best-sellers starting August 28. In addition, Amazon Prime members can expect further Whole Foods savings and benefits to be rolled out down the line.
