President Trump railed against the OPEC oil cartel on Friday, declaring that the group of oil producers had “artificially” raised oil prices and warning that such efforts would “not be accepted!”
The president has frequently commented on financial markets, from stock market trends to the value of the dollar. But he has rarely commented on commodities, and oil in particular.
“Looks like OPEC is at it again,” Mr. Trump wrote in a tweet. “Oil prices are artificially Very High! No good and will not be accepted!”
