Global stocks are enjoying their first good day of 2019 after China and US agree fresh trade talks

2019’s ugly start for markets looks to be taking a breather on Friday after Asian stocks responded positively to a stimulus package announced by Beijing, and news that renewed trade talks between China and the US are set to take place from Monday.

Despite a litany of concerns, ranging from Apple’s profit warning and weak manufacturing data out of China, Chinese markets bounced Friday reflecting an optimism for trade talks with the US on January 7 and 8.
