Online fashion retailer ASOS is spending $40 million (£30.7 million) on a new warehouse in Atlanta to help fuel sales growth in the US, the company announced on Tuesday.
The giant fulfillment centre in Georgia, which will be half the size of its Barnsley warehouse, will have space for 10 million items of clothing and accessories. The Union City warehouse will create 1,600 local jobs in the area, according to a release.
US sales make up 12% of UK-based ASOS’ total sales globally and are growing twice as fast as UK sales.
