Americans might have a little longer to file their taxes, thanks to the COVID-19 coronavirus.
The Trump administration is likely to extend the filing deadline for taxes in 2020 beyond April 15, the Wall Street Journal reported late Tuesday. The White House and Treasury Department have made no formal announcements at this time, however.
Still up in the air are how long the extension would be and how it would work. (The IRS already regularly grants a six-month extension to taxpayers who request one.)
