Dow rises at end of the week as investors take stock of coronavirus recovery

U.S. stocks were trading mostly higher Friday, with technology stocks lagging after spending most of the week leading gains as investors gauged the economic outlook in the face of a rise in COVID-19 cases.

How are benchmarks performing?

The Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA, 0.54% rose 163 points, or 0.6%, to 25,868. The S&P 500 SPX, 0.21% was up 9 points, or 0.3%, at 3,161. The Nasdaq Composite COMP, -0.18% was off 16 points, or 0.2%, at 10,531.
