Stocks greet Trump era with a bounce

The Trump era is about to begin — and Wall Street is greeting it with a bounce.

The Dow climbed about 100 points on Friday morning as investors around the world await the swearing in of America’s 45th president.

All eyes will be on Donald Trump’s inaugural address shortly after 12 p.m. ET for clues on the new administration’s plans to unleash the American economy.

Wall Street has been on an upswing ever since Trump’s historic upset of Hillary Clinton, though the euphoria known as the “Trump rally” has waned in recent weeks.
