General Electric lowered its projection for so-called “organic” revenue in 2016 — which excludes the impact of sales or acquisitions — as the sluggish global economy and oil’s rough ride continue to exert their influence on the conglomerate.
GE said it now expects organic revenue growth of 0% to 2% for the year, down from a previous outlook of 2% to 4%.
For the third quarter, total revenue rose 4.4% to $29.3 billion compared to a year earlier,, falling short of S&P Global Market Intelligence expectations of $29.7 billion.
